History News – Fresh Info On This Issue..
Okay so, I have a fascinating hobby, and I doubt you can find very many individuals that have this hobby, although I do know of a couple, even some individuals who may have written books on the topic. One thing I love to do is take famous quotes from “The Harper Book of Quotations” and then I like to make an effort to argue against such common sense and wisdom, which is often within these quotes from notable people of past periods. One quote I’ve always liked is;
“People Who Neglect to Study Their History Are Doomed to Repeat It.”
Now then, I have decided and figured that we must change that quote to read through; “those who neglect to study their history CORRECTLY, are doomed to repeat it.” Why you ask? As it generally seems to me, and also this is an additional bit of common wisdom; this is the victors who write the historical past.
Quite simply if they were wrong or right this is the victorious who rewrite History inside their favor. And it is quite simple to learn your history incorrectly with out the skills you will need because perhaps all of the information in the true and correct history is no longer with us or has become burned by those who were victorious.
Okay, now let’s take this all to a higher level. It seems like nowadays in school the kids don’t really want to study history, and they often tell the history teacher; “why must I study each of the dates, names, and events of all time, after i may look them up on Google anytime I wish to?” Yes, unfortunately the student who doesn’t feel as if studying since they are lazy is actually correct, but yet remember the quote; “people who fail to study their history are doomed to repeat it.”
Is that this why a great number of the up-and-coming generation are willing to vote for somebody with many ridiculous line of political rhetoric perhaps since they haven’t lived through enough history, or perhaps bothered to study their particular ancestral history to understand the podium pusher’s political rhetoric is merely that, thus they don’t realize it whenever they look at it? I would submit to you personally that it is a real problem. Nevertheless, because humans are repeating the folly of their previous history at this type of fast and rapid rate, maybe they don’t must study their history anymore?
Yes, I understand that you disagree with this statement, but allow me to explain it yet another way. Whenever we teach kids current events, then by the time they mature everything will likely be there history, and that we can prevent them from repeating that history by explaining what is happening in the present period, while they’re are in school. Then we my relate it to the correct background of past periods, without perhaps going into each of the detail. Again since they can look it up on Google or Wikipedia anytime they really want.
Actually, even if you’ve never studied your history, or never even really liked the subject, it’s repeating so quickly, and humans are making the identical mistakes again and again at this type of rapid rate, it hardly matters. You rpylxx need to remember a few years hence, to realize when something goes wrong.
At that time you need to act with this information, that can bring up a complete other group of issues in age of global social media, smart mobs, and instant information. Having Said That I won’t go into this now because I’m going to ask which you stop and consider all of these points of contention, and see if you accept what I’ve presented. Please think onto it.
